1. Read these questions and answer them in your head.
What is your aesthetic? Do you like things to be simple and modern, or detailed and vintage? Do you prefer warm colours or cool ones? Are you attracted to abstract art, or cartoons, or hand-drawn illustrations? Do you like Korean Baroque furniture, or Danish minimal from Ikea?
What are your passions? Your faith, philosophies, and other ideas you feel strongly about? What are some things you love: food, animals, natural elements, hobbies, special interests, beautiful objects, favorite artists, etc.?
What is your style? Newtro or Minimalist? Edgy or traditional? Sweet or salty? Punk or pop? Insadong or Myongdong? Hollywood or Bollywood? Cute or goth? Textured or sleek?
2. Find images to represent some of the things you'd like your teacher and classmates to know about you. Images may be drawn from your 'About Me' Pinterest board or from anywhere else online or offline. Image credit/references are NOT required for this project.
3. Choose ten to twenty images and create a collage. You may do this physically by cutting and pasting printed images, or digitally. Your poster can be portrait or landscape format.
4. Please include a photograph of yourself, so that your teacher and classmates can get to know you!
5. You may add a few keywords (for example, your name, places, important concepts or philosophies) but the images should tell your story.
6. Save your poster as a JPG (or photograph it carefully and email yourself the JPG).

You can use landscape or portrait format, and you can use a collage style or a grid style - whichever you prefer!
|
Hint: If you are not a designer, one way to create an attractive poster is to use a consistent colour palette: either colours from the same family (all warm, or all cool) or contrasting or complementary colours. You can create a collage, a grid, or a photo album style for your poster.
